Chichester City Walls
Chichester boasts some of the finest city walls in the country. Originally built by the Romans, they were subsequently refortified by the Saxons and the Normans. In medieval times, the walls failed to prevent the French storming the city. They last saw hostilities when the city was besieged during the English Civil War in 1642.

Priory Park Chichester
The Old Guildhall in Priory Park is all that remains of a substantial complex of buildings belonging to an order of Friars. In more recent centuries, trails were held here, including that of the notorious Hawkhurst Gang in 1747.
